Orbis Mundi

Discover Uniqueness at its Best

Bovet Watch

The World is Yours: The New Orbis Mundi Limited to only 60 Timepieces! In development for more than two years, the Orbis Mundi, Latin for “the world,” simplifies both the setting and the indications of the world timer for a new generation of watch lovers. The Orbis Mundi, thanks to BOVET’s engineering expertise, is easy to set, using only the crown to both set the time and the 24 world cities. Turn the crown counterclockwise to set the hours and minutes, and clockwise to set the unique 24 world time zone dial.

Features & Functionality

Bovet Watch

246 components-The House of BOVET is one of the few completely integrated manufactures in the watchmaking industry. Movement is the same as the 19Thirty with an integrated universal time complication. The case is similar to the 19Thirty with 42mm but with a thickness of 11mm compared to 9mm – with a domed sapphire crystal. The dial is Blue Aventurine Glass . The settings are simplified by the use of the crown only – no corrector tool is needed.

Ensure the timepiece is fully wound.Do not worry about the actual time, just turn the crown counterclockwise to put the city of your choice in the 12 o'clock position.Once the city of choice is in line with the 12 o’clock, turn the crown clockwise to move the hour hands backward in time to 11:40 – on the 12-hour dial. (The city disc will not move.) Once the hands are at 11:40, move them forward in time to the correct time (on the 24-hour dial) for your time zone (keep in mind if it is AM or PM where you are). The city disc will move and this is ok. Now your 12 hours and 24 hours indications are synched and your local time is correct for both dials.

Bovet Watch

If the hour and minute hands don't match your local city on the city disk, it is probably because you didn't adjust for am and pm. If you are setting your local time in the morning, you have to go all the way around the city dial (because you are starting at 12 noon on the 24- hour dial) to get to am.
